Checkmate!!

I have a son who will never be able to play contact sports, and so he likes to compete in chess tournaments. I just had to make a set to use with those photos! This ended up being my very favorite set so far. I know there are lots of other things that this kit could be used for as well, though, so I would really love to see what you do with it! Please drop me a line and send me a link if you use it! :0)

I went ahead and packaged up the stitched alphabet that is in the Checkmate set as well in case anyone wanted just a fun alpha. Both of these are sold here at Scrap Village. Enjoy!

Bloom Freebie

The last City Planner Feature at Scrap Village was "numbers", and this is the layout I made for it. I grew up in the desert in Las Vegas, so now that I am in Arkansas I am experiencing the first real spring I have ever known. I love it! The flowers and trees are just so pretty as they bloom everywhere! I used the frames from my If It Walks Like A Duct set on this one, and kept the rest pretty simple.

I made these stamped letters to spell "bloom" and the green paper for this layout, and then changed my mind on the bloom title. Since they were already made I thought I would bundle them up with the grunged up background to give away. Cleck here to download it! (The letters are each seperate png files)

Getting it all together

I am so happy to finally have this blog put together! I will be adding more kits and layouts as I make them, and continue to add freebies here and there. I would love to see any layouts you make with any of them!

I am also going to be featuring some of the other things I do on this blog as well... photography shoots, jewelry and cards I make, and some other things that are still in the planning stages.

Handwritten Series Layouts

Both of these layouts were made using mostly pieces from my Doodled Scribbles and Boxed Alphas sets.

Miss Skittles

My husband's cat, Miss Skittles, has the prettiest blue eyes. One night as I was petting her it occured to me that her eyes and fur made a really nice color combo for a kit! The Handwritten Series

I had a lot of fun making this series. The doodled stickers are all jumbo-sized for you to use as large accents or size down as needed. These are all available here at ScrapVillage.
